June 10: French Wine Tasting with Vigneron Imports at The Station

We are proud to announce this spectacular tasting open to the public from 6 to 9. The featured wines (12 of them) are produced in some of the most predominant wine growing regions of France such the Loire Valley, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhone Valley, and Languedoc. The Station, located at 311 Higuera Street, used to be a gas station but has been transformed into a casual chic wine shop with a back patio, pop-up bar, and side room with a large table and chairs. Jenna Congdon, the vivacious manager of the establishment, is an expert on wine. Five of my favorite dishes will be paired with exquisite French wines from small producers in various regions. The cost per person is $75 and should be paid to The Station. Please phone Jenna at The Station: 805.706.0711 Five favorite food dishes:...

Position the lettuce in a hollowed out cucumber that is flat on one end so that it stands. You may wish to include edible flowers such as nasturtiums and perhaps also create a background of leaves. Et voilà! You have a bouquet for your salad course!
