May 21: Winemakers Dinner at Hunt Cellars

I have put together an incredibly decadent six-course dinner that will be paired with ten award-winning Hunt Cellars wines. It is a very intimate dinner; it will sell out at 40.

The evening starts in the gazebo where I will have prepared three passed appetizers paired with four different Hunt Cellars wines.

Passed Appetizers in the Patio

Dungeness Crab salad on Waffle potato chips-Braised Fennel Asian style -Shots of Steamed Mussels salad-

Dinner

Green Caribbean papaya salad

Day Boat Scallop with Saffran Beurre Blanc over vegetable Julienne

Fresh wild mushroom Ravioli with creamy Porcini sauce and Parmesan Reggiano

Braised beef shortribs with Cabernet reduction, roasted vegetables and potato gnocchi

Dessert

Profiterolles au chocolat with mixed berries

David Hunt, winemaker and proprietor, and his family will be greeting guests. The dinner will be held in the tasting room at tables for eight by surrounded by candlelight while each plated course, beautifully created by [yours truly] Chef José, will be paired with wine.

At the end of the evening, David will play the piano and serenade his guests while they dance the night away or simply melt after their delicious meal.
